Lignin
Lignin is a class of phenol polymers found in all biomass. It is key to holding the fibers in a plant structure together, as it is the key component in cell walls that allows them to give structure to the plant.
Lignin is the second-most abundant biopolymer in nature after cellulose. It can be used for a whole range of purposes, ranging from environmentally friendly glue in plywood to bio-asphalt; from a water-reducing agent in cement to bioplastic.
Tirhuta will begin producing lignin from our Kutch factory in end-2024.
